This major series was begun at the beginning of the 1990s, just after the collapse of the Eastern imperialist bloc which had been dominated by the USSR, and in the midst of a colossal propaganda campaign by the entire ruling class aimed at burying forever the perspective of communism under the ruins of Stalinism, the greatest lie of the century. Today, the repeated and devastating crises of the capitalist economy, its continued inability to provide a decent living even for the masses in the world's wealthiest countries, who live surrounded by obscene concentrations of wealth, and its rampaging pillage of the planet's ecology, demonstrate that the perspective of communism, more than ever, is an urgent necessity for mankind.
