Impressive Analysis
Thank you for presenting a perspective on the Occupy movement that I haven't found elsewhere. The unfortunate reality is that the lack of authority exercised in the GAs has been causing substitutionism in the Working Groups as far as I've seen, and it's been to the movement's detriment.
Unfortunately, this has been leading to the development of the same-old woeful character of elitist sects lording over the greater population of this movement, as has happened with so many movements before it.
The consensus of the GAs has been replaced with the much smaller "consensus" of the Working Groups, and the promising developments based on consensus are being abandoned in the quest for "getting things done."
Yes, things may "get done" quicker this way, but whose "things" are "getting done" as a consequence, especially if the cost of efficiency is the marginalization of the general Occupy population that emerged in large part due to their marginalization from greater society to begin with?
Despite this unfortunate development, this article remains important in stating that the impotence of the GAs is something that needs to be resolved, and the hard question is how to do so without allowing the ills of power-differentials brought on by representative elitism.
I look forward to the further discussion suggested by the questions raised in this wonderful article.

welcome
Thanks for that FSF, and welcome to this forum
No media coverage
Almost all highly rated news networks have not given an ounce of attention to the Occupy Movement throughout their protest. It is just another sign of the burgeosie doing their best to keep the masses in the dark and so divided them up.
