It's not political discussion you want, but a squabble

slothjabber, I just refuse to engage with you. I've tried numerous times, but for some reason you won't read what I write, but construct an opponent of your own imagination.

and yet...

I don't remember any time you've tried to engage with me Lbird, at any time in the last 2 years or so. I've tried to point out where you've failed to understand my position, the ICC's position, and the position of other people (for instance, in you insistence that everyone but you thinks the revolution is made by the party).

I've tried to get you to explain why you think communists should purge non-communist workers from the workers' councils; I've tried to get you to see that your idea of socialist pedagogues is elitist; I've tried to get you to explain what you think the differences between 'party' and 'non-party' communists are, and tried while doing it to explain what my view of the party is; but you don't want to explain, it seems, you don't want to defend your views, you just fling terms like 'conservative' and 'Leninist' at people and refuse to debate.

If everyone finds it difficult to continue a discusssion with you, has it ever occurred to you that it may not all be their fault? It doesn't seem like you have even considered that the problem may be with what, or how, you are arguing (or, of course, both thsoe things).

You and anyone else can look back on THIS thread, or ANY OTHER thread that I've been involved in, and you can clearly identify where the problems started.

The problems ALWAYS start when someone else calls me a 'dick', 'troll', 'mad' etc. etc., and THEN, and ONLY then, do I call them a gobshite or a dickhead.

I'd rather have a comradely discussion, but I won't stand for illiterate knobheads who've never even read anything about science, physics, epistemology - or even Marx or Engels, half of them - calling me names. I can be as childish as the rest.

So, 'no', slothjabber, I know that the 'problem' is not me, and those who've exchanged views with me on this thread, and kept a civil tone, can testify to that.

It's simple - if someone disagrees with me, or doesn't follow what I'm saying (I might be unclear) - that's fine, just state your opposition in a comradely fashion or ask for me to clarify, and we'll all get on fine, even if we just agree to disagree.

it's also impolite nay worse

it's also impolite nay worse to ignore what other people say about your ideas cos they don't fit with your ideas...

honestly - quote some actual argument, not just name-calling.
