How should comrades reconcile these two things?
Inflation that erodes any apparent wage gains in short order? Desire by the bourgeois left for some form of Keynsian "demand stimulus" that will eventually be made irrelevant by inflation? Political management of the economy and class struggle by the more farsighted members of the bourgeois political class made necessary by the fact that the value of the minimum wage has been massively and steadily eroded over the course of thirty years of neoliberalism? Desire for the bourgeoisie to give the illusion that reforms are still possible, even though the crisis inevitably renders them temporary and fleeting?
