The repression forces of the bourgeoisie tightened its repression and crashed downed the demonstration to the blood on 27th December 2009. Tens of demonstrators were injured or killed and hundreds of demonstrators were jailed as well. The State Police showed that it has never forgotten how its butchers slaughtered every day in 1981 and if it needed they will do it again.

After, three days the theocratic bourgeoisie started the carnival of “Homage with supreme leader” in the all part of the country. Demonstrations that were mobilised by the regime, in most of the cities, to show their powers and to confirm people’s support of the Islamic bourgeoisie and their loyalty to the supreme leader.

Major General Mohammed Ali Jafari, the heads of Pasdaran (“Revolutionary” Guard Corps) declared 12 January 2010 that:

Some are looking to change the position of the supreme leader to a ceremonial. What pretext after the election fraud in the country to start and was followed, Attempting to weaken the power and position of the supreme leader to a ceremonial position that is to pale the Islamism of the Islamic Republic.”[i] [Our translation]

On the other side all the tendencies of capital from right to left, from monarchists to the phrase radical leftists such “Worker Communists” confirmed the advance of the People’s movement. Each of them claiming that they are leading the protests of the people and introducing themselves as an alternative to the Islamic Republic.

The People’s Mojahedin declared that they have led the protests and they are the only replacement for the Islamic Republic of Iran. Their leader, Rajavie claimed that:

“The clerical regime doesn’t have any rival and opponent except the People’s Mojahedin of Iran and will not be any replacement except the National Council of Resistance of Iran.”[ii] [Our translation]

What that means the People’s Movement for the working class? How the People’s Movement influence the class struggle? What is the roll and tasks of the Internationalists at this stage? Which movement dominates the events in Iran? The fact is that two class movement flows in the society, the movement of Democracy and the movement of working class.

The Movement of Democracy

The movement of Democracy is a movement of bourgeoisie, an anti proletariat and contra revolutionary movement. In an ideal world this movement tries to adapt the national capital to the world capital’s routines, to enforce and modify the capitalist system in Iran, to give assurance to accumulation of capital both for internal and external investors. Capitalism has nothing to offer to the proletariat than generalized poverty, mass unemployment, and unpaid salaries for months, job stress, and misery at work, with the other word a real hell for the working class.

In fact it has to be addressed that people’s protests which dominated by a nationalist and democratic thinking and spirit. However, the nationalism is a deadly poison for the class struggle.

Democratic mass media have given the title of “head of the Opposition” to a criminal such as Mosavi who is very suitable for the Western World policies to secure their  interests to pressure the Iranian government, but this “honest” democratic mass media have not mentioned anything about tens of protest actions or strikes of  the working class. It will be address in the next part. Obviously, they are trying to cover them by highlighting the “green movement” of the Mosavi.

Before analysing the “green movement”, would like to hear and define the democratic movement from their own activist’s language. One of the Nationalist-Leftist tendencies, “Communist” “Worker” of Iran describes this movement as a “Rainbow Movement”. Let’s look at two of these statements.

“Greeting to the zealous nation of Iran and brave freedom fighters

Green Colour: free elections under the supervision of international authority

Red Colour: freedom of all political prisoners and the Abolition of Torture and execution.”[iii] [Our translation]

After repression of the 27th of December 2009, in order to avoid radicalising of the protests changed his approach to save the Islamic bourgeoisie. This policy is well known in Western European, when it is necessary the leaders of Unions or the leaders of opposition parties go out with radical language to deflect discontent and then changes their mind. Mosavi proposed his statement “No. 117” as a “national unity”.  He wrote: “Recognizing the current crisis can find the solution not in confrontation but rather in national unity.”[iv]

His statement consists of five points which the points raised in the context of the statement is possible at least on paper within the framework of the Islamic Republic. He assures as the following the realization of his statement:” Our establishment has the power to accomplish this important task, should it have insight and a respectful and kind view toward all of the nation and its layers”.[v] The last Point stress to “abiding by the 27th principle of the Constitution”.[vi]

This criminal mercenary talking about”innate dignity of humanity” and prohibiting of the torture!

“It needs to be pointed out that in the innate dignity of humanity it is not acceptable that the attacker receives a different food from what his victim is given or is punished with torture and similar retributions.”[vii]

This criminal believes that we have forgotten all his crimes when he was the Prime Minster. Hundred thousand were executed, mass grave of political prisoners (Khavaran), Rape of girls before the execution are some of them.

Despite the left-wing of the democracy movement calls themselves red or left, they represent the political apparatus of capital. If we dispense with the tendencies that became directly mouthpiece to for Mosavi, the phrase radical wing of the left try to drive the democracy movement to the front stage to outshine the class struggle to put affected. These are so much red like the leaders of Unions or Social Democrats who are in the front line of the May first demonstration (Labour Day) sing the International song and yet they have approved the most anti worker laws.

The Left movement stresses to have a right to strike, to create trade, stop privatization and so on, but the main tasks of unions are, controlling of the working class and misleading of its class struggle. That is why, the ghost of class struggle that the bourgeoisie fear most of all.

History has proven that when the bourgeoisie feels threatened it is able to sully his principles of democracy. Democrats in the cradle of bourgeois civilization, Paris, after the fall of Paris Commune, have massacred 30 000 workers in a single week.

The Movement of Working class

The working class is not a history-less fusion of individuals. According to its historical and international experience, the proletariat must avoid confusing people’s protest with an independent class struggle. Instead of the working class would be subordinated to the people’s movement and drawn into the Movement of Democracy, Proletariat must establish itself as an independent social force which is fighting for its own interests.

In the case of people protests and movements if the working class dissolve itself in the Democratic and libertarian movements, it will not weaken the bourgeoisie but the proletariat itself.

Proletariat must take initiative and give its imprint to the events. Proletariat should take with itself the students, young people, and the other layers of the society. Otherwise, they will follow the people’s democratic and ultimately weaken the proletariat own interest.

Capitalism smells blood and dirt. Capitalism is in deepest crisis of its history and the working class pays the cost. If in the past free market economists and ideologues used the term “recession” for the crisis of capitalism, today they confess the bankruptcy of the capitalism.

Capitalism offer only generalized poverty in the generally to the population and in particular to the working class. With the eliminating subsidies that are going to be practical in the coming months, which is a direct attack to living standard of the working class and will increase the poverty even more in the country?

The class struggle is growing. Regardless of slow process in terms of development, proletariat, as learned the historical development, has to defend its interest with tooth and claw from its livelihoods. Despite the brutality of the regime, organized tens of protest actions or strikes all over the country. Some of them are:

  • Kiyan Tyre Factory
  • Zeyaran Meat Complex
  • Hadicar Radiator Manufacturer  (Industrial Area Of Semnan)
  • Workers strike in Tabriz Industrial Complex
  • Bonyan Diesel Tabriz (Dorman Diesel)
  • Esfahan steel Company
  • Haft Tape sugar factory workers
  • Iran Marine Industril (Iran Sadra)
  • Construction workers strike in Abadan refinery

This news in not visible in the democratic mass media or under domination of other innovations to create the “Opposition head” of Mosavi.

These strikes and protest actions shows that the working class in not defeated. Despite all the limitations of these fights, proletariat has no choice but to fight for its class interests and take the fight forward.

Intensifying of the class struggle is the only alternative

We must not loss our class identity. Our confidence to ourselves,  our revolutionary ability to establish ourselves as an independent social force in the society through the class struggle are our main driving force.

The chain workers!

The future of our movement depends only on our struggle. We can only repel attacks to the bourgeoisie from our own class terrain. We must try to break down the isolation of strikes and protest actions and establish connection and collaboration with other sectors throughout the country. We must expand our struggle, independent of all bourgeois gangs, independent of all bourgeois movements, against capitalism. Our slogan must be against wage slavery, exploitation, unemployment, dismissing, inflation and in the meantime we need to  spread out our struggle from streets to the workplaces in all sectors. We need to fight for our class interests only.

Struggle's ultimate goal is not to change the rolling class as it happened in 1979 without in class struggle and our aim must be directed to destroying whole capitalist system. This is only possible from an internationalist perspective.

The terrain of People revolts leading proletariat's ability to wear out, but the terrain of class struggle leading to the revolutionary destruction of the capitalist state in all countries. More than ever, so curry the working class through its struggle the future of humanity in its own hands.

Iindependent struggle of the working class

The core of the Marxist position in social events is the emphasis on the independent struggle of the working class that raised below.

“In the case of people protests and movements if the working class dissolve itself in the Democratic and libertarian movements, it will not weaken the bourgeoisie but the proletariat itself.”
